The media loves to attack those who stand for something moral. Recently my brother, Jason van Heerden, saw one such attack on Stockwell Day, former leader of the Canadian Alliance party and current President of the Treasury Board and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway for the Canadian government. Dear Mr. Day,

I was reading the Globe and Mail the other day and was saddened to once again see you being criticized for your belief that man and dinosaurs coexisted at some time in the past. Despite this belief having no relevance to the issues at hand, it is constantly being raised by the liberal media as means of discrediting your decisions, intelligence and your suitability as a leader.

To this end, I wanted to first say that I, and my entire family, admire you for standing-up for your beliefs (including your stance on abortion) and being willing to openly express them despite the political damage it has done to your career. Secondly, I wanted to encourage you not to become discouraged as this criticism typically comes from those who are anti-God and willfully ignorant of the scientific evidence which supports a recent creation.

While, I don’t think much can be done to change those who have consciously hardened their hearts to God’s word, my brother and I produced the following enclosed video “Dragons or Dinosaurs” as means of:

A. Educating those who are openly searching for information on dinosaurs, creation, evolution and the origin of man, and
B. To encourage and support those who believe in a recent creation but lack the scientific evidence with which to adequately defend their beliefs.

It is because of “b” that I am sending you a copy of this video.

It is my hope that you and your family will enjoy the video and that you will be encouraged to continue to uphold your beliefs despite the intense and unfair criticisms you will certainly receive.
